Woods Rose Flower

Macro and Micro Picture of the Day 2020-06-30

Here is a Woods rose (Rosa woodsii) flower. It's a wild rose native to central and western North America, from Texas to Alaska. The Arapaho used its bark to make tea, and the Lakota ate the hips for food.

Equipment used: Canon EOS Rebel T5i with a standard zoom lens (EF-S 18-55 mm).
